Grizzly Weinstein [userpic]

Tuesday the 14th I had a scratchy throat. It turned into a pretty nasty cold that kept me out of the office on the 15th and the 16th. I went back in on the 17th as I was feeling mostly better.
I went to work the following Monday and Tuesday, but that was probably a mistake as I had begun to get sick again. Took the next three days off and Friday saw the Dr.
Upper Respiratory infection.
One more day of antibiotics. It is funny, I don't fear not getting better and getting full fledged pneumonia; I fear the antibiotics!
I am allergic to too many of them. I will never forget the miserable time I had with Amoxicillin 15 years ago. Oddly enough I had never had antibiotics until I was in my mid 20s. I also had never had hives before. I was a giant miserable red lump (but my throat infection was cured).

One more day, no little red spots yet!
I still have an annoying cough!

I'm sorry you've been sick...if you lived next door (and say, oh I dunno, if I actually *knew* you) I'd make you some chicken soup. Or miso. Depending on the whole do-you-eat-meat thing.

<lj user='tavalon"> made me some Spicy Potato soup that has been helpful. I eat meat, but miso is always nice.

Stock up on oatmeal just in case you need to add it to your bath. Aveeno also makes a wash/bubble bath that works really well on hives/skin irritations (Diaper rash). :)

I'm not even going to offer soup, it'd be cold by the time it got there.

Then I will come get it. I got to MA this morning. Sat is Shaina's Bat-Mitzvah.

Let me know when you have some free time; I would love to see the kids!
