Meryl Update

Meryl had an MRI yesterday because she had two 'episodes' a few hour apart. The first one was when she was writing a letter, she couldn't remember how to spell a simple word, not even the first letter. When she checked the letter later she realized the last two lines were gibberish, just random letters in groups of 3, 4 or 5.
The second episode a few hours later she couldn't remember how to turn on her laptop.

She met with her Oncologist and Radiologist today. The told her she had a brain tumor that they suspect is cancerous. They recommend surgery since it is very small and the chances of complete removal are excellent. She is meeting with a Neurosurgen tomorrow morning to plan the surgery.

More happy thoughts for Meryl please.

Who is she seeing?

(I used to work for Harborview neurosurgery... It might be overkill, but Dr Winn there is... amazing.)

IS this related to what was up with her before? or hard to say?

I have a friend (lives here in seattle still far as I know) who had 'brain tumor removed' surgery and recovered just fine.
IT is pretty amazing what they can do nowadays.
I am sending good vibes and knowing that Meryl
is in the best of hands.

~sending positive energy her way~

I hope she gets the help she needs and that everything turns out for the best when it's all said and done. I'm not sure who she is, or what your relationship is with her, but if you could give her a big hug for me, that'd be great. ~smiles~

Oh my goodness. Please let Meryl know I'm thinking about her and hope she gets through this without any surprises. I'm sending happy thoughts!

Positive energy

As Jonathan commented elsewhere,

"Have some protons!"

And hugs, as necessary.

Argh, that would be so scary to realize you were just writing gibberish 0_o Good luck to her.

From what I have heard from people I know in the medical field, if you are going to get sick then Seattle is not a bad place.

sending more good wishes.
