I called Nissan today to find out when my shock-absorber was due in. The told me the part was on back order and would be a few more days; i.e. next week. I told them that since this was obviously a warranty item (which they never mentioned, but it better be) they need to arrange a loaner car for me, since it is not a good idea to drive with a broken shock. The service guy said, "really it is undrivable?". I reiterated my made up information about it not being a good idea to drive on a broken shock. He told me he needed to call Nissan, he would call me back. (probably only needed to talk to his service manager to see if the warranty would cover that, whatever)
They called me back and I am going in tomorrow to drop off my XTerra and pick up a car.
